gobble gobble
When does one stop being new to somewhere? I'm on a website and everyone keeps saying "New to Denver!". That's great, but when can you no longer say that? Is there a time limit on being new? Is it when you register your car and get a state license? Perhaps it is when you go on vacation after moving and where someone asks you where you're from you say Denver? I have been here almost three years (where does the time go?) and I don't consider myself new. I just can't pin point when Denver became home and Ohio is a thing of the past.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving! Tristian, James, and Ryan came over and we all cooked tons of food, watched football (and Mean Girls!) and had a really good day. At 6:00pm we headed to Walmart for Black Friday. Let me take a second to tell you that I LOVE Black Friday. It competitive, comes with awesome deals, and where else are people going to attack for a DVD? The more into Black Friday I am becoming the more I like Thanksgiving. Getting there at 6:30 was a really good idea. They only had 6 of the TVs that I wanted. Don't worry I was first in line. I am now the proud owner of a 43in Plasma TV. There was 7 of us there so we were able to spread out and everyone got everything they wanted. This was the second year Ryan and I had went to the Walmart and I feel like we knew all the tricks. We made it out of there and home to Cap Hill by 11:00pm. Now I'm just a little overwhelmed by how big the TV is...I'm sure I will adjust.
Now I'm just thinking about maybe going to Twilight. I really can't decide if I want to go to today or not. The movie is at 2:00pm so I suppose I have some time to figure it out.

Lincoln movie!
I'm going to take this opportunity to tell you to go see Lincoln right now. Are you there yet? No? Then you're not moving fast enough! OH MY GOODNESS it was SO good!!! I didn't know I could love him more than I already did but now I feel like I know him. For 2.5 wonderful hours I was able to see him come to life on the big screen. David liked the movie but probably not as much as I did. I want to see it again, and again, and again. Daniel Day Lewis should win awards for his performance. Did I make it clear that liked the movie?
In addition to an awesome movie it was an all around fun night. David and I met after I got off work and went to Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. I had been there before but he hadn't. The restaurant is Forrest Gump themed; thus he was like a kid in a candy shop. It was amusing to say the least.
Today Tristian and I went to Target to get Thanksgiving supplies. I am really excited to be hosting Thanksgiving this year with my friends. Yes, folks I am going to be making turkey this year. Mind you my friends are going to help. After living here almost three years my friends have become more like family. Once we eat what hopefully is a good meal we are going to go to Walmart for Black Friday deals. I NEED a bigger TV :)
Oh! I got my first Broncos jersey! I am so excited to wear it tomorrow. Woot Woot!

Molly Brown House
This weekend flew by, don't they always? On Friday David and I went to Benny's then headed to Gov Park to watch the Nuggets. Saturday consisted of a Fort Collins trip for beer, burgers and cake. It took forever to get home due to the snow. Thankfully, I was in the good car both ways :) Today I went to Stoney's with everyone to watch the Broncos win! LOVE them. It's amazing how much football my Sundays consist of. Now I'm just exhausted. I don't have to work tomorrow so I think I'm just going to clean and relax. Sounds wonderful! I feel like I need to mention the election. Romney did not win. I'm thankful I didn't waste any time working on the election. On another note: pot is legal in Colorado. So, there's that. The commercials are over. Here is to a better Republican candidate in 4 years or Hickenlooper needs to run.

This is a picture of me and some friends at the Molly Brown House. It's the home of Unsinkable Molly Brown. Totally cheesy but my friend's band I Sank Molly Brown performed in the carriage house. It turned out to be a really cool night. I mean when else do you get to hear a rock band in a gift store?
Ok, I'm exhausted. Sweet dreams!

Sweet November
So far it is off to a good start. One month out of grad school and I still don't miss it. I went out for Halloween on Wednesday. Carly, one of her friends, Craig and Tristan went to a bar then a few of us headed to a haunted house. Woot woot! On Thursday I went to Stoney's to watch the game and played trivia with David. Friday I went out and drank far too much. It was fun though. We went to the Green Russle and Forrest Room 5. Both very cool bars and I am fairly certain I drunk dialed my brother. #winning.
So the BEST news of the week came on Thursday. We are officially allowed to wear jeans to work EVERYDAY! AHH! The cheers could be heard across the floor. Needless to say I'm very excited. Ok, I have to run. Headed to the ski and snowboard expo!
