DONE WITH GRAD SCHOOL!

It's been a long year, but I am happy to report that I am done with grad school! I have never felt more relief in my entire life.

Thank you for all the love and support throughout the past year. I couldn't have gotten through it without all of you. Seriously, this past year has been rough.

I'm off to Seattle. I'll report more when I get back.

Where is your boy tonight?

Friday night was wonderful. One of those I love Colorado kind of nights.  I do, I really love it here.I go through phases when I try not to, but it always sucks me back in.

Ashford had an employee night at the Rockies game. We all drank too much and were able to go onto the field to watch fireworks. I have never heard of a team doing that, but I'm pretty convinced it is one of the best things ever. Seriously, try that sometime. Oh! AND please note my super awesome Colorado Rockies winter hat that I just HAD to wear in the middle of September. My coolness level is too high to handle right now. Whoa! :) hehe

Saturday was nice in that I was able to catch up with old friends! Great to see you Ellie, Lenny, and Cathy! We went downtown and checked out October Fest. I wasn't very impressed, but it was worth going to.

Now I'm just in a mad sprint to get all of my homework done by Thursday. My flight to Seattle takes off at 6:30 am (what were we thinking??). YAY for an entire weekend in Seattle. Then it is back to Denver and grad school free for the first time in a year.

Just what I needed

I am exhausted.

Work is a bit chaotic. We went from under 30 people in my position to over 100...in 1 day. They transferred employees from other departments. It's a GREAT change, but a lot all at once. I came into work on Tuesday with a new manager and a new team. Emphasis on new, in that on a team of 15 only s people have done the job before.  Aside from all of the training having new team mates is amazing. I couldn't ask for a better manager and I am REALLY happy to have fresh blood and a new perspective on things. It has re-energized me and put my head back in the game. It's just a lot of work for the short term.

Otherwise I will be in Seattle in two weeks. Oh! I finish grad school NEXT WEEK. No big deal :) HUGE DEAL! :) :) :) :) :)

I'll write more soon.

Oh, Abe :)

If you know me then you know I have an unhealthy love for Abraham Lincoln. I am VERY excited for this movie! Seriously run and see it...in November of course :)

Broncos, it's game day!

THE BRONCOS ARE BACK!!

To say I am excited is an understatement. I love this team! That is a fact that won't change even if I move from Denver. You never forget the team that helped you fall in love with a sport. For me, those teams are the Cavs and the Broncos. Regardless, football season is back and I will only be in grad school for 3 weeks of it! L-E-T-S G-O!

It has been a good weekend, though I have drank too much. Friday after work I went to happy hour with some friends. Saturday I cleaned then went to lunch with my aunt and cousins. We went to Benny's, totally different experience with kids. Later that day Natalie and I went to Michaela's housewarming party. So much fun! It was a really cool group of people getting together to celebrate with them. We played beer pong (Michaela and I won a game!) and just chatted. Once we left Natalie and I pulled over and just looked at the stars. It's cool because that is not something I can do in Denver. Living in the city means no stars. If I visit the boonies I am going to take advantage :) We stopped at Toby Keith's bar, but the crowed was pretty lame. Today I am headed to meet with Lyndsay for lunch...way too long. Then running some errands and then its game time! :) :) :)

I am a happy girl.

I need to figure out forever

It's been a great weekend. I don't want to go back to reality tomorrow. Though, the faster time goes the sooner I will be done with grad school. I can't complain about that :)

Jeremiah was in town this weekend. On Friday after work we went and saw Dylan's band. They were performing at the High Dive on Broadway. Total grunge bar but super fun! His band was awesome! Seriously, check out I Sank Molly Brown for a good time. It was great to see so many work friends out to show support. Shout outs to: Carly, James, Natalie, Craig, Christy, Adam, and Tony!

Saturday Jere and I woke up early and decided last minute to go to Breckenridge. It was super cold and rainy there. LOVE. I had to buy a fleece jacket--that chilly. Totally adorable and I want to go back once it snows. Maybe go tubing? Once back in Denver we headed for Sushi (yum!) and a wine bar in the Highlands. When did I grow up and become so sophisticated? ha. Anyways both places were really good. We drank far to much wine but decided we still wanted to go to the bar. We ended up at City O City right by my apartment. Good cider and interesting conversation with Segio, a street performer in town from Florida. Oh the assumptions he was making. Though, he did analyze drawings pretty spot on.

Sunday Jere had to head back to Longmont. Man, I didn't realize how much I had missed him. Glad you're doing so well! Right after he left Jen texted me to go to the outlets in Castle Rock. So Tristan and I headed to the tech center. Her apartment is adorable! We had fun at the outlets. Coach discontinued my FAVORITE style purse, so I had to buy another one...right? Once Tristan and I made it back downtown we have to brave the Taste of Colorado freaks. Man, I really really really hate that festival. It causes an insane amount of traffic and does not bring the best crowd downtown. I felt like I needed a shower from walking down 16th St. Mall. After I made it home I passed out at like 8:00pm and didn't wake up until this morning. I have a lot of homework to work on.

Hmm..what else? I had a date last weekend. It was alright, he talked about his girlfriend a lot. Overall it just wasn't enough fun to do anything again. I keep making excuses for people, but the reality is I deserve MORE. I used to know that, and I'm trying to get back to that place.

On an end note, this weekend was awesome. I won't soon forget the randomness and conversations. Thanks everyone! I needed this last fun weekend to get me through to graduation :)
