Is it September yet?

I'm watching a TV show on Serial Killers. It's creepy. It's terrifying that people are capable of doing that to other people. Then they don't even care. I took a class on this in college, and it did not make me feel any better about the situation. There are so many things to be scared about in this world. Now that I live alone my mind will be in over-drive. Time to move on to happier subjects.

Avatar in 3D this weekend! I can not tell you how excited I am to see it. I love the movie but I never saw it in theaters because I'm stubborn and to be honest it looked dumb. It's also almost September which means my mom will be here in a couple weeks!! It is strange to think that she has never seen my apartment or met my friends. I'm just excited for whole to do all that. AND we are going to Washington Park on Friday. Which is funny, for reasons I'm not going to explain on here.

That's all I know right now. I'm going to a McInnis BBQ tomorrow. It will be nice to touch base with most people. It's going to be a busy weekend. I will fill you guys in next week.

World Tour

Tom called me on Thursday to tell me he was moving to Connecticut...on Sunday. Lame.

So me and him went out Thursday. We started in "Mexico" aka a mexican restraunt with really strong margaritas. Then we ran--in the rain mind you to the Brown Palace. A fancy hotel, and had a drink at the bar. Then it was off to "Ireland" aka and Irish Pub. We met up with Lyndsay and Chris. By this point I was pretty drunk. Another Tom joined us and we ended up at our last stop "England" aka a British Pub. It was a bitter sweet night. Lots of fun--but sad that Tom is now in Connecticut. I wish you the best of luck Tom and I hope it's a good move for you!

In other news I'm officially on another campaign! Brenden, Lyndsay and I are all going to be working with Scott Gessler. He is running for Secretary of State. It's an awesome opportunity. It's a much smaller staff than Scott had so we will have a lot more responsibility..aka no more letters to the editor or other filler work. I'm really excited. I start Tuesday, but we are all getting together tonight to brainstorm and everything. Yay!

Let's talk, shall we?

A friend told me I was back at square one, I wanted to shake him. I am nowhere near there. No, the campaign didn't work out BUT to say these past six months never happened is naive. I have campaign experience, and the connections I made are priceless. I can not imagine Denver without the people I met through the campaign. So no I am not back at square one.

I decided which campaign I want to get involved with. I have emailed them about an internship position. If I get it that would take me through to November. From there I have some plans, but I will keep them to myself right now.

AND I refuse to support Dan Maes...I do not care that he is our Republican candidate for governor. I will not vote for a man with no Political Experience. No No No.

This entry is really political. All my non-poli sci friends are bored.

There is some other stuff going on, but I'm not going to get into it. Mostly because I do not know how it ends yet...Maybe it already over, but maybe not.

Primary fail.

"Everything happens for a reason"
"When God closes a door he opens a window"
"Good things fall apart so better things can fall together"

Scott McInnis lost last night-to freaking Don Maes.
I'm disappointed with CO.
Don has NO political experience. Contrary to popular belief that is NOT a good thing.
Congratulations John Hickenlooper-you are our next Governor.

I understand that there are going to be better things. I now have 6 months of campaign experience on my resume. That can't hurt. I'm going to take tonight and figure out where I want to go from here in regards to Politics.

Walking in the rain

I saw Inception. I like to think of myself as pretty intelligent. I thought I understood it, but then the ending screwed up everything I thought was going on. So no, I didn't understand it. I don't think it is as great as everyone is saying it is. Sorry kids.

It's primary week. Which means a lot of phone calls, sign waves ect. I make enough phone calls at work, it's the last thing I want to do w/ my weekend is make more phone calls. Well I did. We are in it to win it! GO SCOTT! After campaign shenanigans I saw the above movie. When Sally and I left the theater it was raining, and yes we had to walk. Good times, other than the fact that my neighbors think I am stalking them :) ha.

Moving on ---> should make this the theme of my life (Lyndsay stop rolling your eyes)

This video is funny: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYGpelWYFx0
No I do not think I can be considered a "Colorado girl" YET but needless to say I enjoy it.

Rockies Weekend

It was a great weekend. Friday night me Tory and Lyndsay took Josh to the Rockies game for his Birthday. The Rockiesgot 12 runs in 1 inning (w/ two outs!) It was awesome! We won 17-2. Then we went to the Tavern-they have a cool out-door patio. Then it was back to my apartment for cupcakes :)

Then Saturday I went into the campaign office to make phone calls. From there I went to Borders...It links me to home. Lyndsay then called and informed me I was going to be going to the Rockies game w/ the campaign. BOX SEATS! AWESOME. Even Scott McInnis was there, it was really cool. WE WON AGAIN! ha Take that Cubs! After the game me Ashley and her husband Cole went to a chill bar in Capital Hill. Great end to the day!
