Oscars!

Weekends go by too fast.

I went to the movies on Friday. We paid to see Just Go With It. Which I LOVED! It starts out a little slow then its gets really good. Go see it! After we snuck into No Strings Attached. I'm a rebel. Ha it was good, but it wasn't as great as everyone has been telling me it would be. Maybe because the entire concept isn't possible?

Yesterday Myhisha and I went to the UT/CU basketball game. She made me wear UT stuff, which was alright. BUT my loyalty lies with CU. I may have cheered for them a little--in my defense their cheers are adorable and completely cheesy. Right up my ally. It was very awkward that UT lost though. After we headed to Estes Park. It's gorgeous there. No denying that. We went to the Stanly Hotel aka the hotel where the Shinning was filmed. We missed the ghost tour, but we were still able to walk around. It was really cool. After we tried to find a place to eat. It took forever! The town was creepy deserted and we were more than happy to head back to Denver.

Today I did my usual Sunday stuff--so not much. I watched a lot of Dawson's Creek. I decided to rewatch it, so far it's good. I can't believe my mom let me watch it. ha I don't think I understood any of it though.

Today was supposed to be spent writing an essay and applying for a grant for Webster, I haven't actually done that yet. I'm running through a lot of thoughts in my head right now. I feel at peace with one of my plans though. More to come later.

Currently I am watching the Oscars. I'm rooting for Mark Darcy from Bridget Jones's Diary. Just because he was in that movie and it's one of my favorites :) Aww yay they are talking about Titanic. Love love love it! It should win another award, because its that good.

Peace out!

Tuesday...that's it!?!?!

It feels like its supposed to be Thursday and it's only Tuesday. Prolly not a good sign.

I'm watching Social Network. It's kinda leaving a bad taste in my mouth about Mark Zuckerburg and Facebook in general. Maybe that will turn around by the time I get to the end of the movie? I find it amusing I'm on Facebook while watching the movie. Ironic eh?

Other than that life is good. It is busy, but busy with good stuff. Fun with friends and all of that. I won't bore you with the details.

Ok...the movie ended. I didn't love it (sorry Cindy!) and I don't have a great vibe about Facebook. I guess that can be the way with big business in this country. Idk--I'm losing faith. *Myhisha told me it isn't true. Good!

This blog was pointless, sorry.
bedtime!

i wish you never looked at me that way

I feel like I'm trying to turn today into a turning point. In all seriousness it's probably not. Webster has finally released grants for the program. I'm going to apply. If I get it I go if I don't I won't. It takes the pressure off of me. Bonus. BUT I probably should put more thought than that into this. All I know is today is the first day in a long time I thought of Webster and was really excited in a way that didn't involve me almost having a panic attack (yea-it has happened, I don't want to analyze what that means).

4 months....and that's all it takes for me to freak out.

I'm over thinking things.

Anyways other than that life is good. I went out last night to Jacksons then to the Gin Mill (Sound familiar). After a group of us went to Mark's house and just hung out. I didn't get home until like 4:30am--It's all a blur but it was late? We took a ton of pictures. Then me and Myhisha went to Stubens bright and early so I could get to work. I'm exhausted, but it's looking like I might go dancing tonight w/ Sally and friends. I have time to sleep Sunday. It's the freaking weekend I want to have fun

60 degrees in February!

Cheers to good weekends :)

Friday a group went to Hooters for happy hour then we all decided to go to Jackson's again. It's all you can drink Friday up until midnight for only five bucks. AKA it's trouble. We went last weekend too, and it was a blast so we had to do it again. There is dancing, and just all around fun with good people. This week after midnight we headed to the Gin Room. Not my favorite bar, but they get kudos for playing the Sesame St. song at closing time. I think I had too many shots this week, and it made for a rough Saturday morning. WORTH IT!

Saturday me and Myhisha went to Brunch at Stueben's. It's this cool little diner a few blocks from my apartment. I was still a bit out of it, but it was such a nice day so we decided to go to Boulder. Woot Woot! We went to a wanna-be tea house and just enjoyed the day.

Today I was going to be lazy but everyone and their mom was cleaning their apartments and being all productive. Since all the cool kids were doing it...I did it too :) Thus I got a lot done. I have been watching How I Met Your Mother. It's like my new Office. I'm not really sure why, but it's kind of a big deal.

Did I mention it was like 60 degrees this weekend?? Because it was--win!

Happy Valentines Day to all you love birds out there <3

Only Tuesday?

I'm watching the Office...it's the one where Pam and Jim get married. Have I mentioned they are my favorite TV couple? Like even more than Pacey and Joey (well....it's close. Maybe I would call that a draw, but I like them more than Big and Carrie) Anyways I'm watching it and loving it like I have the many many times I have seen it before. Siigh Still adorable.

Is it bad that it's Tuesday and I'm already excited for this weekend? I'm going out with my people on Friday-including my neighbor. Yay for that! Then Saturday me and the girls are going movie hopping. Have not done that in years.

I was driving home from work today and even though the roads were crap I am completely happy. I think the universe works in mysterious ways, but I really believe that I am where I am supposed to be. Webster starts in 5 months. Where did the time go???? It's scary thinking I'm going to have to leave all of this.

I'm just letting it roll...

Football woot woot!

It was a really good weekend.

Friday a big group of us went to happy hour at Hooters then went out to Jackson's. It was all you can drink for $5.00-you can't beat that! It was a great time. Really was feeling it Saturday though. WORTH IT.

The rest of the weekend went pretty fast. I'm slightly bummed the Steelers lost, but I'll live. I wish one of my teams would win a championship on some sort. I don't really have a football team though, perhaps The Broncos? I'll always love The Cavs, but that isn't looking too promising right now.

I went shopping today--Forever 21 had a big sale. Fun Times :)
For now I'm watching Glee, which is just what I needed after watching Football.

There is so much I want to talk but this is not the place for that.

Hope you all had a great weekend too!

I heart my Grandma

What a week it has been. Work has been busy, which is good because it goes faster. I'm just really ready for the weekend.

My grandma has breast cancer, we found out today. I was at work--so big thanks to Myheisha and Katherine for the hugs when I broke down. They don't know how bad it is, she has surgery next Friday. Hopefully they get rid of all the cancer. Positive thoughts and prayers appreciated.

I have more to talk about, but its inconsequential next to my grandma having cancer. The entire thing is unreal to me.

....well here goes. In other news:
I learned a lot this past week about what I want in a relationship, and what I don't want. I also learned I won't settle for anything less than HIM.

I know who I am. I'm not divorced. I don't have kids. I'm not stuck in a bad relationship. I can take care of myself. There is nothing for you to fix here--I don't NEED you, and I'm beginning to realize that's exactly what some guys want. Yes you can say you want strong and independent all you want, but face the facts. You're looking for a project. I can't nor do I want to be THAT girl. And honestly I deserve a guy that is strong enough to handle that, and doesn't need to fix anything.

This made me laugh yesterday:
Ashley: I hate the Evans!
Me: I LOVE the Evans!
Ashley: Cappy is so much better.
Me: And this is why you are happily married and I am very much single.

It's true though. I will always prefer the Evans of the world. I may be on Team Aiden, but I understand why Carrie chose Big. When it comes down to it I will always pick Big...oh the irony.
