Still no snow :)

Hi!
It was a good weekend! I managed to get most of my Christmas shopping done. I have a couple more people, but I think I know what I want to get them-for the most part. Yesterday I had to work in the morning. Then I hung out with Doug the rest of the day. It was fun :) Today I did more Christmas shopping and cleaned.

Luckily this week is only a 4 day work week :) LOVE IT. Uncle Jack and Aunt Deb get in late Christmas Eve. This is going to be my first Christmas Eve NOT at my Grandma's house. I am sad about it. I'll miss you all! I need plans for that night. I'm going to be at my friends house hanging with her adorable dogs (I stay in town for the holidays which means I get to dog sit and take people to the airport--such a good friend eh?). Maybe Ill have a movie night or something Christmas Eve?

Oh I have pictures of the super awesome ginger bread house Doug and I made (and yes I know that is a bad picture of me)

Where does the time go!?!

Hi guys!

I'm watching the Indiana Jones Marathon and it's awesome. Everything I want it to be! I am going to have to cut it off early though--Kinda of sad.

This has been a good weekend! Friday I went to happy hour...which lasted a lot longer than an hour. It was fun---excited for Trivia! Then I watched the Soccer game with my cousins. Yesterday Doug and I went out for lunch then he showed me around Colorado School of Mines. It's a cute campus. Kind of made me miss Akron's campus though :) Our student union wins hands down--but I might be biased. Saturday night I went out for Ben's Birthday. It was a diverse group. people were from Ohio (me!) Iowa, Georgia, Florida, Missouri, and I think Texas. I think that is my favorite thing about Colorado. EVERYONE is from somewhere else! Anyways the night was fun, well maybe not the walking part. I'm still amused at the beginning of the walk people were proud of themselves for being green...further into the walk people were so angry they wanted to skip dessert. I guess it's one of those you had to be there kinda things.

GO AKRON! When I watched this game last year I was at Dennis's graduation party. Time flies. Go rock the championship!!!!!

Ok I'm running late---later kids!

Home Sweet Home

She'd trade Colorado if he'd take her with him,
Closes the door before the winter lets the cold in,
And wonders if her love is strong enough to make him stay,
She's answered by the tail lights
Shining through the window pane

I was talking to my mom about coming home. I mentioned that I feel like I'm supposed to be in Denver right now-there is a lot happening. She agreed, she said that even being out of this state for a few days right now would make me antsy. I don't know what that means for Christmas. I'm not too worried about it. I mean what does it mean for everything? I didn't like being away from Denver for more than a couple of days. At what point did Denver become home?

I talked to Jere. We were avoiding each other, because we knew what the other had to say. It was an over due conversation though-he just confirmed what I was thinking. I'm lucky to have such good friends. I think this everyday and it's so true. Both in Colorado and Ohio.

LeBron was back in Cleveland. The fans booed (which they should have!) I like this article a lot: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writers/michael_rosenberg/12/02/lebron.return.cleveland/index.html#ixzz1722OAUG9 There are other that were good too. You don't understand what it means to Cleveland unless you're from Cleveland.
