Ah choo!
I've been sick. To the point that it put a big damper on the weekend and I stayed home from work today. I'm not good at being sick, seriously I'm not. Just ask my friends. Today I have my voice back and I'm not sneezing as much as I could be. Ryan recommended a miracle nose spray that has made my life better. I took nitequil to fall asleep--wow does that stuff knock you out! I needed the sleep though.
The day has come...almost. I am starting concurrent courses next week. This will enable me to be done with classes in August. 10 months for a MAED is not so bad eh? I fully acknowledge it is going to be hell. I can do this, I just may need you to remind me for the next few months.
In other news San Diego was good...seeing Ellie was really good! Geez I miss her. Ellie--you seem happy. THAT ROCKS! The trip was busy, we had dinner at some cool places. I was able to walk on the beach and see everything the city has to offer...at night. Really ready to get home though, I was starting to get sick. Being homesick for anywhere other than Ohio is still a strange feeling.
Well I'm going to go watch Obama talk until I become so annoyed I must change the station...I give it 5 minutes.

My Dear Denver Days
Today is the eve of two years in Denver.
What a two years it has been.
What a two years it has been.

I look around my apartment, at the picture on the wall. Most everything I see, and everyone in the pictures is from my dear Denver days. I keep in touch with just a few people from Ohio, that happens with time. They don't know who I talk about when I tell them stories, or what my job entails. When I have a good story to tell, I refer to my Denver friends. They fill my weekends and know the 25 year old me in a way Ohio never will, but they don't know my past. My past belongs to Ohio.
I was in Ohio last month, and my friends finally acknowledged that moving was best for me...I did the right thing. Then we laughed about high school or college. Inside jokes from years past. It felt good, but it felt just as good to get home to Denver.
I fit in Denver in a way I never did in Ohio. I think that's the best way to explain it. I don't know how long I'll be here, or where life will take me. But I do know that for right now I am right where I am supposed to be.

Holy Tebow!
It is right, it's just not right now
It's been a while. I almost posted last week, but knew I'd get off topic. I didn't want another blog to be about you...too many already are. You freaking coward.
Not to change the subject, but this site is pretty nifty: 30 Things to Stop Doing to Yourself
In other news, I'm going to San Diego on Tuesday. I don't think I've told the blogger world that yet. I'm going for work to train and I am oh so excited! The co-workers I'm going with are cool too. So double win!
I am actively looking for a new apartment. One that has some form of free parking (walk in closet, big kitchen, high floor, marble counter tops, en suit washer/drier and a nice view) is that too much to ask? I miss my car. Seriously people it's at the point where I drive once every couple of weeks. Well lie, less than that. Last night I drove for the first time in a month. No, I am not ready to part with my car.
The Broncos lost last night. It was a great season, one that I won't forget. This is the year I fell in love with football, with the Broncos. I am so excited for next season! Yes I jumped on the bandwaggon (I don't understand why that's a bad thing) but I'm not jumping off.
If Gods not a Broncos fan, why are sunsets orange?

Superman
There's some illogical part of me that still believes if you want superman to show up, first there's got to be someone worth saving.
-Jodi Picoult
THAT IS THE PROBLEM. Girls work so hard to be independent and get their shit together. Then they get to the point where they do not NEED a guy, this is when they decide they want a guy in their life. A guy on the other hand will say they want a girl to be independent and all of that. Lies, lies, lies. Guys want to help, and fix things. That's the problem. What if I don't need fixed?

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
New Years Eve was interesting, and of course fun. I went to a get together at Carly's. Ryan and I took the light rail. How were we to know there was a water main break at DU? It was completely flooded. Even the road was closed. So James had a difficult time picking us up. We finally made it to Carly's apartment. We played drinking games, and just all hung out. Ryan was trashed so the light rail home was interesting. Once we made it back downtown it seemed like the whole town was drunk. I was too sober to be dealing with that, and I wasn't sober. I felt old. I often say I feel old, but rarely do I really believe it. Last night I did, but strangely it was in a good way. I'm glad I'm 25 and my life is where it is.
Last night was better than a lot of my past New Years Eves. Not so much for what we did, but because I was with people I like, and I'm more me than I have ever been. No other way to explain it.

I'm not going to say 2012 is going to be great, because I don't know that and I don't want to set it up for failure. So, 2012 I'm looking forward to see how you end up. One year can change everything.
